About the course

This course is designed to help support staff in SEND settings feel confident, calm, and purposeful when attending music therapy sessions with young people with SEND.

You’ll learn how music therapy differs from classroom activities, what your role involves (and what it doesn’t), and how to create a safe, supportive space without leading or directing.

Through videos, reflection prompts, and practical tips, you’ll explore how to work collaboratively with the therapist and tune into the needs of the young person.
