This course is suitable for anyone currently working with or interested in working with adults and/or children with learning difficulties or for anyone interested in learning about the human sensory experience in more detail.

Your trainer Emma Phillipson is an experienced Music Therapist and SEND mother with a child who has sensory differences so draws on her lived experience throughout the course.

Emma Phillipson

She/her
Emma has been a qualified music therapist for over a decade, bringing extensive expertise in working with children with learning disabilities and older adults with dementia. She specialises in addressing sensory processing and integration goals, as well as supporting emotional processing following bereavement.
At Chiltern Music Therapy, Emma supervises several team members and serves as the Life Guardian, focusing on HR-related tasks and projects that enhance the emotional well-being of the staff. As a passionate singer and guitarist, she also enjoys performing whenever possible.
